This week is big arts week. Year four are being very creative and are making African masks using papier mache and clay.
The papier mache masks will be examples of colourful tribal masks used for a variety of reasons such as rituals and dance.
The clay masks will be examples of Benin masks. Benin masks originate from the Benin tribe in the West of Africa and were again used during riutals as well as other times.
The question is, How sane will Mrs Richardson be by the end of the week?

This is an example of a Benin ritual mask. It is carved in bronze and was the queen's mask.
