The girls swimming team almost completed a clean sweep of the gold medals at the Blaydon Schools swimming gala held at Felling Pool on Tuesday 11th March. The boys team swam well too but without medal success.

The School Swimming Gala
On Tuesday 11th March eight children entered a school swimming gala at Felling Pool. The captain of the school team was Caitlin Ridley. The girls team was Caitlin Ridley, Megan Dixon, Hannah Woodhall, Sophie Montgomery and Jessica Glover. The boys team was Thomas Fox, Jake Jeffries Jackson and Jack Rogers. Caitlin won 4 gold medals, Hannah won 1 silver and 2 gold medals, Megan won 2 gold medals, Sophie won 2 gold medals and Jessica won 1 gold medal. Out of the girls team we came 1st and with that we came 3rd over all. Unfortunately, because of some late withdrawals, there were only 3 boys in their team so Thomas Fox and Jake Jeffries Jackson had to swim twice.
Girls Freestyle Team - Hannah Woodhall, Jessica Glover, Caitlin Ridley and Sophie Montgomery.

I thought the picture was great but someone could have told me that my fringe was like that it looks wierd ! Caitlin I love your smile it is groovy. We did mint girls and I can not wait for next year but you're not going to be there poor me !

This year's gala was mint. Everyone did well and tried their best !! Hannah, you and Jessica will be the only ones there swimming for West Lane next year.
