With a crash of drums and a flash of light Joseph and the rest of the cast entertained parents and staff alike at the Year 6 leavers' assembly.

They were true stars during their end of year performance this week. Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat was adapted well and performed brilliantly.

The children sang all the songs well and as you can see from the photos, enjoyed every minute of it.

Well done Year 6

I thought that the Year Six leavers assembly was excellent !!!

I played Joseph and had a brilliant time working with Y6, Mr Gormley, Mrs Scragg and Miss Taylor. It was dead cool. Thanks 4 writing the script Thomas, Thomas, Jessica and Catlin. You did mint!

Year 6 put on a production of Joseph when I was in Reception class at West Lane, in 1991/92. All the brothers had dungarees made for them, all in different colours, with 'Ben' and 'Joseph', and so on, helpfully stitched onto the front in sequins. They, along with the multicoloured dreamcoat itself, knocked about West Lane for years and years. The dreamcoat made a reappearance in our Year 6 play in 1998, in which it was worn by Chris Pearson as The Pharaoh. (Which Pharaoh, we were never told.) I clicked on these pictures to see whether the old costumes might actually STILL be hanging around, but it seems not. It looks as if it was a very fun production, regardless, and I'm glad to see West Lane with its own website. I enjoyed my time here very much indeed. Eleven years and an Oxford education later, I still think about the old school often.
