Yesterday Y5/6 received a fire safety talk from members of the Tyne and Wear Fire Service.
The children learnt about the job of a fire-fighter, about fire safety at home and at school and what to do should they ever discover a fire.
They were all given fire safety activity packs and some even got the chance to dress up as fire-fighter!

During the fire talk i learnt that if there is a fire you :
Shout FIRE
GET EVERYONE OUTSIDE / IN THE SAME ROOM
DONT GO BACK IN AND GET YOUR NEW MP3 PLAYER
STAY OUTSIDE
THEN CALL THE FIRE BRIGADE
I learnt lots when I was listening to Lenny the firefighter talk about fire.
