Year 3/4 Visit the Hindu Temple

Our topic this term is India. On Friday we visited the Hindu temple in Newcastle to get a real taste of what life as a Hindu is like. The first thing we did when we arrived at the temple was to take our shoes off as a mark of respect.

We dressed up in saris, waistcoats, and turbans. They were all very colourful.

The Indian drums made some fantastic noises!

We had lunch at the temple, we enjoyed eating the curry and chapatti bread. Some of us enjoyed the food so much, we had four helpings!
