Your trash is worth cash

Receiving the latest mobile phone, iPod, digital camera or hand held game console is great but what about the ones that get left behind?
In January we have been given the opportunity to recycle these and raise even more money for our school! As well as printer cartridges and mobile phones we will be able to recycle iPods, digital cameras, sat navs and hand held game consoles.
So please get everyone to hold on to the gadgets that will be replaced this Christmas, and send them into school in January. Thank you for remembering us.

West Lane enjoy day out at Newcastle Falcons
Earlier this term, West Lane's rugby team won the "Wooden Spoon " tag rugby event at The Newcastle Falcon's rugby ground. As a rerward for their success they qualified to play during the half time interval of the Newcastle versus Bath Guiness Premiership match at Kingston Park. Although we lost [as did the Falcon's!] it was a great experience to play on the same pitch as the professionals in front of several thousand spectators! For a more detailed account of the day written by team members, see extended entry.

West Lane trip to Twickenham
Last month our school Tag Rugby team had a trip of a lifetime. We were fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to visit Twickenham ,the home of English Rugby ,where we demonstrated our skills at tag rugby[we are unbeaten this season!];formed the guard of honour as the players came out of the tunnel ,and obviously watched the match.

Apologies
We regret that we have not kept up to date with our school website. From this day forward we are going to ensure our school website reflects the wonderful work that is going on in our vibrant school.
